How should I make a move on him?

One of my really good friends found out that this guy I've been interested in for so long is interested in me too. Tomorrow we'll be working together and I'm not sure how to make the move. Should I just straight out tell him I like him. . .? Or would that be creepy? Yeah, I'm 17 and inexperienced...sue me. :S
